The game features some custom animations, like spell glyphs and the dream shimmer effect, which are really nice. There were also quite a few secrets to find throughout the game, including an optional boss, which is rewarding if you're into such things. I was curious to see what would happen next. The witch's forest was my favourite, since it felt very mysterious and foreboding. Leaving the Abbey at the start and hearing the field song for the first time was really memorable.Įach area felt unique and interesting. The atmosphere is the best thing about it, including the custom music and glowing effects. I don't play too many RPGs that only feature one character, but this game did it well. Paladin Dream is a nice, simple game with interesting mechanics.
